Statement

My works center around my personal experiences with panic disorder, multiple chronic illnesses, and my experiences dealing with the American medical system. I utilize many different materials such as clay, latex, paper-mache, glitter, etc. to create the many different textures. My recent works have been a representation of my attempting to come to a place of acceptance of my physical plights and how I view them. These works are visual representations of my internal conflict of being comfortable in my femininity and sensuality as a woman,( being shown through glitter, pearls, jewels) whilst dealing with illnesses and a system that make me hate and resent it (though abrupt gory imagery)
